  • Carol Marinelli is one of my fave authors, but while this story line is up to her standard, there was an underlying inability to suspend belief and imagine that this was NYC That detracted majorly from my enjoyment and appreciation of the story.Would have really enjoyed this book and rated it higher, but it so obviously was an Australian author pretending that the characters were American, and that sapped the enjoyment of what is an otherwise excellent story.The story is set in NYC, but in name [...]

  • Did not expect to like this story the way I did.Also, there are lots of tell tale signs of Australian vernacular in this supposed New York City setting, which was jarring, but since I m Aussie anyway I easily pretended this was set in Australia.


  • Nina and Jack are great characters both influenced strongly by their pasts their jobs Love the interactions between the 2 and watching them learn to trust take chances


  • really enjoyed this book loved the start of a new series loved the characters can t wait to read in the series
