  • I gave a general idea of what happens throughout the book, nothing specific Not sure if this is considered a major spoiler or not decide if you want to continue on or not This book is a simple, easy read, but I found it entertaining Pat is a boy who is considered a klutz When he was playing football at the beginning of summer with his group of friends, he got stuck under the fence By this time, the school bully, Neal Moffett, decided to bet that Pat couldn t go the whole summer without getting s [...]

  • A fun coming of age story about the maturation of this story s main character, Pat Berry A large part of the maturation and growing up process is the immature attraction and reaction to girls at that age I can honestly say as an adolescent boy growing up, the author captured the state of mind pretty well, and for me, it was pretty hilarious Ultimately, the protagonist grows out of this state of mind, and he approaches that state of maturity and enlightenment before any of his friends do This can [...]

  • I liked this book My favorite character is probably Pat I like pat because he seems like a guy that plays a lot of sports and gets hurt a lot And that s kid of like me I also like the part were Hose got hit in the cheek with a bee bee gun I also like the characters Neal and Hose I like Hose because he seems like a good friend And I like Neal because he has a cool house with a work out room basketball court and a nice lawn for football.

  • I really empathize with Neal, being a klutz myself At the time of reading this book I think it was around fifth grade , I enjoyed this immensely, particularly the trials and tribulations of the main character, who s just trying to find his niche on the social ladder The ending is very satisfying to boot.

  • The most amazing and fun book I read it both the summer of fifth and sixth grade the characters and the story is something I would like to experience for myself Although this is told through the eyes of a boy, as a girl, I still enjoyed it, and it inspired me.

  • Again, although I have tried to leave out the books I ve read in childhood, I have had to include my favorites of that time It s insane how much of an influence this book had over me I won t elaborate much beyond that, but for me, this book was equivalent to the pool scene in the Sandlot.

  • This book was all right in my opinion I ve read better Bill Wallace books I did understand the flow of it, but I would have to say that I didn t really like the way that the main character acted. It was overall an OK book.I thank my teacher for letting me read it

  • Remember reading this several times when I was younger, super cute A fun read for kids and one I wouldn t mind reading outloud to my kids as I think I could still enjoy it.

  • I loved this book when I read it as a kid It was comforting to think, though the story was fictional, that someone could be as klumsy as me.

  • This book gave me hope as a child There s not a lot of things that did that It made me feel less alone, less of a freak, less unwanted It gave me hope that one day, things would be okay.
