  • This was one excellent book It left me wishing the author had novels for me to read It was a thrilling suspense novel filled with espionage, MI6, MET in an undercover war with the Russians and each other The plot was gripping and everything tied in together I felt like I was watching first hand all the action I literally couldn t put the book down The main character Harper was well written with background information that made him feel real and likeable I definitely recommend this book and woul [...]

  • I like thrillers, they are my favourite genre and I have read a few over the years When I purchased this book I was hoping for a read that was fresh and original but there were quite a few cliches in this book, so towards the end.The story is about a British Detective who has a past and quite a few issues to overcome He is asked by his superiors to go undercover again when three bodies are found brutally murdered Matt Harper is involved in a shadowy world where power and money are the name of th [...]

  • Great book, with lots of action Nice main character, which, like every human, has his faults And loads of bad guys I doubt if anyone, after reading this, would want to go on a holiday to Russia, thoughI m looking forward to books by this writer

  • Detective Constable Mathew Harper is a decorated member of Scotland Yard If his personal life was as perfect as his professional he would be a very happy man Matt Harper wasn t happy When three influential men were discovered tortured and murdered in an upper class London neighborhood, the police are swift to respond Even faster, two members of Foreign Office are on the scene with priority status The causes of these heinous crimes originate in Moscow Considering his past record and linguistic sk [...]

  • If you like spy thrillers, chances are you ll enjoy this interesting debut novel from author A.R Zander He has created a great main character in Matt Harper, who has a past that s definitely spotted with regrets and deeds he d much rather leave behind him, if only he could I think Harper could have great longevity through several sequel novels, and I would love to hear about his prior operations and misadventures that have given him the anxieties he struggles with throughout Moscow City This boo [...]

  • A real page turner There was quite a lot going on and I wasn t sure where exactly it was leading which is exactly what I like in a good book The short, snappy chapters were action packed, making this book a delight to read The twist towards the end was well thought out and fitted the story well Although the first book from this author, the main character Harper wasn t just a newbie undercover agent He was a man with a past that played on his mind and his history was divulged during the telling o [...]

  • Truly my review is mixed On the one hand I think the book could be very good as the story is filled with adventure, suspense, mystery and intrigue which is what people look for in their next great read on the other hand it appears to have skipped the editing process and has many spelling and grammatical errors which, at least for me, detract from the story as I m constantly focused on rewriting the sentences this is what I do in real life sometimes it s a boon, sometimes a bane Also, a bit deta [...]

  • Moscow City is a fast moving story of intrigue and betrayal The reader is swept from London to Moscow to Kazakhstan to Macau as the story unfolds in intriguing layers A good read with lots of action and worthy but dangerous villains Russian gangsters and ruthless Western bureaucrats.

  • I don t remember how I got my digital copy of this book Perhaps it was a giveaway If so, it certainly did not achieve its aim of making a fan of me.The characters and plot were fine I did have trouble sometimes keeping everyone straight, especially at first But the editing was terrible the book was riddled with grammar and spelling errors, enough of them to distract from my enjoyment of the story That s simply inexcusable, and I won t be picking up anything else by this author.

  • I liked the book The story unfolds around very delicate and interesting subjects However, I thought the beginning is a bit confusing I also felt a bit lost at times due to the amount of characters with an important role in history I do not like the use of swear words I read the file available on the book page at site

  • Double crossing and double crossing in this story of an undercover policeman investigating 3 murders and winding up in a world filled with too many villains who are too evil to accept Villains who torture and kill just because, well, because they can.The hero s, miraculous, escapes were too convenient while the ending was just a little too easy and too pat.

  • Suspence, murder, the writing is very good Someone should have proof read this book before it was printed There are so many mistakes it takes away from the story.

  • Okay, so my list with complaints is so long I m not gonna bother writing it down in this horrid app Its not terrible, its very Meh.
