  • An interesting, engaging novel though I found it difficult to keep all the different characters and relationships in my head so the revelations towards the end of the book were a bit spoiled because I had to go back and remind myself who people were What it did make me aware of was the sheer chaos caused by the displacement of those caught up in the holocaust and very relevant to what is happening today.

  • This was definitely an engaging book couldn t put it down, which is how I read it so quickly But I m not really sure what I came away from it with It told a strangely tangled story set in Germany and England during the 1930s, 1940s, and 1990s.

  • I liked the historical aspects about WWII, but there were so many characters to keep track of Maybe I shouldn t have tried to read it with lots of people around to distract me.
